I enjoyed coming to Santa Rosa for the 2013 MHS reunion, and reconnecting with my good friend, Jan Chroniak (Ulrich).  It was fun to see others also and speak to them.  Just sorry that I didn't speak to some of our teachers.  At that time, I had my self-published book with me and only really showed it to Jan.  The name of my book is Johnny and Carol - true World War II romance.  The book is written in 3 parts.  Part 1 is my family history.  Part 2 my real mom and dad wrote through handwritten journals, diaries, v-mail, cards, poems and telegrams.  Part 3 tells of our family life after my dad returns from India after the war.  The book is now available on amazon.com and the quality paper back sells for around $20.00.  My husband, John, and I live on the beautiful Cane River Lake in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana.  We have lived here for 11 years now and we absolutely love it here.  We are near the campus of Northwestern State University of Louisiana (NSU) in the city of lights, Natchitoches.  At NSU, I had a part-time adjunct faculty position as Costume Shop Manager for the Theatre & Dance Department.  It was the perfect job for me.  I really loved teaching the students how to sew.  John and I attended most of the productions put on by the department.  We are members of the Natchitoches Northwestern Symphony Society.  I'm now a member of 1st Baptist Church on 2nd Street.  I joined Cane River Stitchers in 2005 and served 2 years as president.  I'm a member of Lesche Club of Natchitoches, which is interested in cultural interests.  The city of Natchitoches celebrated their tricentennial last year.  So there is lots of history in this area.  Last year (in May) I retired from my position at NSU, and am not enjoying my life with not so much pressure.  Love to ya'll, Donna Murray Brewer

My husband, John, and I really enjoyed the 2013 reunion.

We retired to Natchitoches Parish in Louisiana in 2004.  Then in 2005, I started a part-time position as the Costume Shop Manager for the Theatre & Dance Dept. at Northwestern State University.  I really loved that position, but decided to leave in spring of 2014 after 9 years.

In 2011, I self-published my book Johnny & Carol - true World War II romance.  It is a tribute to my real parents, and is written in 3 parts.  The book is a quality paperback and contains many black & white photos.  It is available on amazon.com

Because of so many things going on in my life right now, I will not be able to attend the picnic this summer.

Would love to hear from those classmates that I didn't get a chance to speak to at our last reunion.

Love, Donna
